Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, seeks a Regional EHS & Safety Coordinator to support Aberdeen, NC and West Columbia, SC facilities. This role partners with Operations, Maintenance, and Leadership to advance a strong safety culture, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction.

The successful candidate will lead safety programs, training, incident investigations, workers' compensation administration, and environmental reporting across both sites, with monthly travel to the SC location.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Safety, EHS, Industrial Compliance, Manufacturing Operations, or related disciplines.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety programs.
• Strong communication, coaching, training, and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all safety initiatives for the Aberdeen and West Columbia facilities.
• Conduct routine plant inspections, safety audits, and workplace observations.
• Identify hazards and unsafe work practices and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations.
• Lead monthly Safety Committee meetings.
• Conduct new hire safety orientations and onboarding.
• Perform Lockout/Tagout audits and procedural review.
• Maintain compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
• Support permit applications, renewals, inspections, and regulatory reporting.
• Lead investigations involving injuries, incidents, near misses, property damage, and environmental events.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
