Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, seeks an EHS Coordinator to partner with its Buda, TX operations. You will analyze manufacturing processes to eliminate hazards, coach all levels of staff on safe behaviors, and manage daily safety and environmental requirements with regional support.

You will lead incident investigations, develop corrective actions, deliver training, and help implement environmental programs while advancing a career in EHS within a collaborative, growth-oriented

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in EHS or manufacturing with EHS responsibility.
• Strong communication across departments to facilitate safety initiatives.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA CFR 1910 and environmental regulations.
• Basic knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out, Working at Heights, Confined Space, and Lifting Operations.
• Associate degree or relevant experience in EHS/Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide a strong on-the-floor presence coaching management and employees toward observing, understanding and correcting behaviors and conditions that can lead to incidents.
• Investigate incidents and establish corrective action plans within IMS framework to eliminate hazards and mitigate risk.
• Coordinate with Area EHS Manager to ensure programs are updated and management system tracked.
• Deliver health and safety training and onboarding training with classroom and in-field testing.
• Conduct periodic assessments focused on safety compliance and tracking action items to completion.
• Provide technical guidance on environmental policies including Storm Water, air permitting, Spill Prevention, and related plans.
• Review plans for machinery to ensure safety requirements are met and sign-off on new/relocated equipment.
• Share best practices across facilities and assist in safety program dissemination.
• Train management in safe operating procedures for hazardous tasks.
• Assist in procuring PPE and safety supplies and maintaining appropriate safety inventories.
• Support Safety Action Teams and develop future leaders for internal safety culture.
• Attend Train the Trainer courses for areas like crane/rigging, powered industrial vehicle, and First Aid/CPR/AED.
