Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking a Software Engineer – Sensors, Space and Air to design, code, integrate, and test real-time embedded software for advanced sensor, guidance, and fire control systems.

You will work across all phases of the software development lifecycle, perform peer reviews, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM from an accredited institution.
• Self-starter who enjoys hands-on problem solving and has a passion for C++ and Python development.
• Familiarity with C++ and Python development.
• Familiarity with Python scripting.
• Experience developing software in a team-based development environment.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems and collaborate to provide innovative solutions.
• Work at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration.
• Assist in derivation of system and software requirements, architectural modeling, and technical analysis.
• Design, code, unit test, integrate, and document real-time embedded software with RF/sensing focus.
• Participate in peer reviews, code inspections, and technical decision-making with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support program execution to meet technical, cost, schedule, and quality baselines.
• Follow established software development processes to maintain software integrity.
• Work Location: Onsite at McKinney, TX Campus.
