Job summary

Essex Property Trust is seeking a Porter to maintain the grounds, curb appeal, clubhouse, amenities, and other common areas at OCC 533 Pinnacle at Talega in San Clemente, CA. The role requires a five-day onsite schedule and involves working on a busy, outdoor environment with residents and visitors.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, custodial or maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Some custodial or general maintenance experience preferred.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to use a smartphone and basic computer tasks.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness of exterior areas and landscaping across the property.
Clean and maintain common areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and fitness centers.
Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor or manager.
Ensure trash receptacles are emptied and assist with bulk trash removal and recycling.
Interact with residents professionally and assist with directions or help as needed.
Perform seasonal tasks such as snow/ice removal and pressure washing exterior surfaces.
Follow safety procedures and use PPE; report hazards immediately.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
