Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community on site. You will manage delinquency, rent collection, staffing, leasing, maintenance, and risk management in the absence of the Community Manager.

You will supervise staff, ensure policy compliance, and implement marketing and retention initiatives to optimize occupancy and cash flow. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-growing real estate services firm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred or related experience.
• Ability to operate onsite software and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income from applicants, current residents, and others accurately and timely.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor bad debt, issue late notices, contact residents and guarantors, file evictions.
• Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to resident accounts; bill back utilities where applicable.
• Perform end-of-month close procedures and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records; audit resident files.
• Walk units and post move-out charges, statements, and security deposits.
• Attend onsite daily; supervisor staff to ensure policy compliance.
• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop onsite staff.
• Ensure staff training and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Promote harmony and quality performance among staff.
• Ensure leasing closures and accurate reporting systems.
• Implement marketing plans as outlined in the annual plan.
• Handle resident complaints and retention initiatives.
• Show, lease, and move-in prospective residents.
