Job summary

Greystar is seeking an onsite Maintenance Technician in Kentucky to manage work orders, diagnose issues, and complete preventive maintenance. You will supervise the make-ready process for vacant units, coordinate with vendors, and uphold Greystar standards for cleanliness and safety.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, adherence to safety policies, and cost-conscious operation within a community environment.

Qualifications

Experience in building maintenance and make-ready processes.
Ability to diagnose defects and perform repairs to standard.
Familiarity with safety policies and code requirements.

Responsibilities

Manage work orders from resident requests and perform repairs per policy.
Oversee make-ready process for vacant units including inspections and scheduling vendors.
Set cleanliness and appearance standards for grounds, exteriors, and interiors to reflect Greystar quality.
Periodically inspect work by team members and implement corrective actions as needed.
Inspect work by contractors and vendors to ensure quality and scope compliance.
Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate supplies within budget.
Complete monthly preventive maintenance procedures.
Contribute to cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
Lead safety meetings, keep MSDS current, and ensure OSHA compliance.
Provide strong customer service to residents and respond promptly to maintenance questions.
