Job summary

Gleason Research Associates, Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Property Accountability Specialist to manage physical inventories and maintain compliant property records on an onsite basis.

You will verify data, coordinate with organizations, and ensure timely updates to DA/FAR properties systems while supporting transfers and moves. The role requires a High School diploma with 4 years of related experience (or a higher degree substituting for experience) and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical inventories of Government property using barcode scanners and systems.
• Coordinate inventory schedules with organizations to minimize disruption.
• Verify property information: barcode, location, user, documentation.
• Prepare and maintain property records (DA Form 2062 and others).
• Update electronic files to keep records accurate and current.
• Serve as day-to-day property accountability contact for organizations.
• Process property changes: transfers, shipments, turn-ins, and new items.
• Coordinate with personnel to resolve discrepancies and record changes.
• Notify HR Lead or Logistics Manager of missing property or issues.
• Participate in planning meetings to coordinate inventory activities.
