Job summary

Mullins Mechanical is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead mechanical, plumbing, HVAC construction projects in industrial and large commercial settings.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and safety, coordinate with Owners, GCs, and subcontractors, and mentor junior staff. The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of mechanical systems, and proficiency with Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, and NetSuite.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in project management or BS/BA construction management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing codes, and process piping standards.
• PMP, CCM or design-build experience would be considered an asset.
• Proficiency in project management and construction software, including Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and NetSuite.
• Extensive previous work experience managing budgets for construction projects.
• Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
• Highly organized with leadership experience.
• Knowledge of construction safety and quality standards.
• Understanding of construction management processes.
• Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs.
• Familiarity with contract and subcontract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day project management activities to ensure successful delivery of scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality objectives.
• Schedule and lead project handoff meetings, ensuring all critical job information is gathered prior to execution.
• Attend on-site customer meetings and serve as primary contact for client coordination.
• Ensure client satisfaction while balancing scope, time, cost, and field execution needs.
• Lead internal weekly planning and execution meetings with project teams.
• Provide mentorship and training for Assistant Project Managers and Field Engineers.
• Manage and protect the contract's scope, including inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications.
• Coordinate subcontracts and procurement documentation.
• Develop, maintain, and control project documentation and scheduling.
• Oversee BIM coordination to ensure constructability and efficient field execution.
• Oversee manpower, tools, materials, and information to meet schedules.
• Manage project safety, quality, and productivity in alignment with OSHA standards.
• Review field timesheets and conduct performance reviews.
• Support hiring needs for field personnel and onboarding with HR.
