Job summary

Kokosing is seeking an onsite Construction Engineer to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage on-site engineering activities for heavy highway and bridge projects.

The role requires coordinating project engineering staff, ensuring compliance with contracts, and supporting the overall schedule with Primavera P6. Bridge experience is a strong plus, and a civil engineering or construction management background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred or equivalent technical training and related experience.
• 3+ years of construction engineering experience.
• Bridge experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule (Primavera P6).
• Provide technical support for planning, design interpretation, and construction methods; resolve design conflicts and perform contractability reviews.
• Develop and administer project engineering procedures (submittals, RFIs, expediting deliveries, payments).
• Represent company, project and/or department during A/E, client and project management meetings.
• Coordinate on-site departments to resolve issues and maintain schedule.
• Oversee all pre-construction services, design build services, and business development for the project.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
