Job summary

Kokosing is seeking an onsite Construction Engineer to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage engineering activities for heavy highway and bridge projects. You will work with the project team to ensure schedule alignment, quality, and safety on site.

Ideal candidates have a civil engineering or construction management background with 3+ years of construction experience; bridge experience is a strong plus. PE registration is preferred but not required. Competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• 3+ years of construction engineering experience.
• Bridge experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule (Primavera P6).
• Provide technical support for construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; contractibility reviews.
• Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents (submittals, RFIs, expediting material deliveries, payment of Subcontractors/Vendors and Owner pay requests).
• Represent company, project and/or department during A/E, client and project management meetings.
• Interface all on-site departments as required to resolve problems, ensure quality of construction, etc. in support of overall project schedule.
• Oversee all pre-construction services, design build services, and business development for the project.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
