Job summary

Kokosing is seeking an on-site Project Engineer to lead construction engineering activities for heavy highway and bridge projects. The role requires coordinating personnel, aligning with contract requirements, and supporting the project schedule using Primavera P6.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree with 2+ years of related experience, and bridge experience is a strong plus. PE registration is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 2+ years of construction engineering experience.
• Bridge experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities.
• Ensure activities comply with requirements and support overall construction schedule (Primavera P6).
• Provide technical support for construction planning, design interpretation, and documentation of conflicts.
• Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents (submittals, RFIs, expediting material deliveries, payment of Subcontractors/Vendors and Owner pay requests).
• Represent company, project and/or department during meetings with A/E, client and project management.
• Interface all on-site departments to resolve problems and support the project schedule.
• Oversee all pre-construction and design-build services and business development for the project.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
