Job summary

JE Dunn in Nashville, TN is seeking a Project Engineer 2 to support routine construction and field execution for carpentry self-perform projects. You’ll work with the project team on safety, QA/QC, and documentation to understand the building process and JE Dunn’s standards.

Key activities include estimating, scheduling, look-ahead planning, and on-site coordination with foremen, subcontractors, and the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field is required.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• 2+ years construction experience.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Willingness to travel and relocate as needed.
• May require non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching.

Responsibilities

• Participates in implementing project safety plans and ensures a culture of compliance.
• Supports preparation of estimates, schedules, work plans, daily logs, etc.
• Pre-plans crew activities and updates to the superintendent.
• Manages CMiC project administration and other company technologies.
• Coordinates with subcontractors and internal project support functions.
• Controls costs by evaluating and improving task processes.
• Maintains project crew schedule and reports.
• Provides analysis for materials and equipment on site.
