Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America is seeking a Project Accountant to join the on-site team in Boise, ID. You will monitor project progress, investigate variances, approve expenses, and ensure timely billings and payments, reporting to the Lead Project Accountant.

This role requires cost accounting experience within construction, strong Excel and ERP skills, and ability to collaborate across departments in a high-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or General Business preferred.
• At least three years of accounting in construction/engineering/architectural field.
• Experience with cost accounting, AP/AR, contract administration, invoicing/auditing.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-monthly subcontractor billings and material invoices.
• Process monthly subcontract billings and material invoices.
• Maintain files, forms, purchase orders and subcontract files.
• Support bi-monthly billing for client and quarterly reports for corporate office.
• Obtain tax-related documentation for subcontract billing and tax exemptions.
• Monitor data requirements per budgets and schedules.
• Track/report accounting indicators; manage jobsite correspondence distribution.
