Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America is seeking a detail-oriented project accountant for on-site accounting at Amarillo, Texas. The role collaborates with project leadership and multiple departments, with travel to multiple Texas jobsites as needed.

The position handles subcontractor billings and vendor invoices, contract reviews, and payroll support for union staff. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting and construction industry experience are preferred, along with strong Office 365 and ERP

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED and a 4-year degree in Accounting preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting/office management in construction, engineering, or architecture.
• Experience with cost accounting, AP/AR, contract administration, and invoice auditing is expected.

Responsibilities

• Process subcontractor billings and material/vendor invoices for the project.
• Review contracts to ensure invoices align with executed contracts.
• Support payroll processes for union employees; assist with new hire paperwork and time entry.
