Job summary

Hoffman Construction in Amarillo, TX seeks a detail-oriented project accountant to support onsite accounting for multiple Texas jobsites. You will work with project leadership to process subcontractor billings and vendor invoices, ensure contracts align with payments, and maintain timely financial data.

The role requires three years in construction accounting, strong MS Office, ERP experience, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field preferred.
• At least three (3) years of accounting and/or office management experience in the construction, engineering, or architectural field required.
• Experience with cost accounting, AP/AR functions, contract administration, invoice processing/auditing, and its relationship within the construction industry.
• Experience in similar accounting role within the construction industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process subcontractor billings and all material invoices for the project.
• Review and entry of a high volume of subcontractor/vendor invoices.
• Read through contracts and ensure invoices align with executed contracts.
• Support corporate craft payroll department in the processing of union payroll, time entry, payroll checks, etc.
• Support other departmental projects, data requests, compliance requirements as needed.
• Provide outstanding service through timely and effective follow-ups and communications with both internal and external customers.
