Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to obtain blood specimens from patients, register and label tubes, and support pre-analytical workflow in a busy hospital lab.

This onsite role requires 3–5 years hospital laboratory experience (internship 0–1 year acceptable) and a High School Diploma; ASCP-BOC Phlebotomy Technician certification preferred. Shift: Day, 40 hours per week; pay range $18.99–$28.21 hourly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• ASCP-BOC Phlebotomy Technician certification preferred.
• 3-5 years hospital laboratory experience preferred; internship 0-1 year required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies correct specimen and labeling requirements for test orders.
• Registers and labels tubes correctly.
• Centrifuges and aliquots specimens according to policy.
• Sorts, stores, and delivers laboratory specimens.
• Resolves specimen problems with staff and client services.
• Answers telephones and provides assistance as needed.
