Job summary

Pinnacle Partners is seeking a Payroll Auditor & Accounting Clerk in Indianapolis, IN for an onsite, contract-to-hire role at $22/hour. The ideal candidate will process and audit weekly payrolls, support accounting activities, and maintain strict confidentiality of payroll data.

Requirements include payroll experience, basic accounting knowledge, and strong attention to detail. ADP and Great Plains experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll experience is required.
• General accounting knowledge, including debits and credits, is required.
• Basic Excel skills (formulas, copy/paste, tab navigation) are required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll data and pay rates.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Process and audit weekly payrolls for all employees.
• Review payroll information and time records for accuracy.
• Enter payroll information into ADP for processing.
• Identify discrepancies and investigate inconsistencies.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee pay information and garnishments.
• Assist with general ledger activity, reconciliations, and accounting reports.
• Support ACH and wire transfer activity and related tasks.
