Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Patient Experience Representative I for the Martha Eliot Health Center in Jamaica Plain. The role requires coordinating administrative services to ensure an optimal patient experience and supporting process improvements.

Responsibilities include greeting and registering patients, enrolling in the patient portal, coordinating with providers, scheduling encounters, handling payments, and supporting department logistics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No healthcare experience required; basic customer service and computer skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech and show empathy.
• Ability to work with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service to patients, families, and visitors.
• Greet, screen, direct, and register patients; enroll in patient portal.
• Coordinate with providers to manage complex patient issues.
• Schedule encounters and monitor daily schedules to optimize experience.
• Assist with shift huddles, forms, and documentation in hospital systems.
• Collect demographics, insurance info, authorizations and verifications.
• Collect co-payments and reconcile deposits; maintain accurate records.
• Answer calls, triage urgent issues, and route to appropriate teams.
• Support logistics for programs and presentations; assist with processes.
