U.S. Physical Therapy, Inc. is hiring an Onsite Patient Account Representative for our Houston team.

The role focuses on billing and claims processes, including data elements, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and collections for patient portions. This is an onsite position at 1300 W Sam Houston Pkwy S, Suite 300, Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of medical billing and collections experience, strong detail orientation, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced degrees preferred.
• 1–2 years of medical billing and collections experience.
• Knowledge of medical billing, coding, insurance regulations, and reimbursement policies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with patients to resolve billing and payment issues.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in patient accounts.
• Process payments and refunds.
• Review and update patient insurance information.
• Communicate with insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations and verify coverage.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and denials.
• Maintain accurate patient account information.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and ensure timely reimbursement.
• Maintain knowledge of current insurance regulations and coding requirements.
