Qualifications

• High School graduate required.
• Four years of medical facility or medical business office experience preferred.
• Experience in customer relations or teaching preferred.
• Experience in third party payer requirements preferred.
• Automated billing systems experience required.
• Training/experience in business office activities preferred.
• Language skills adequate for effective written and interpersonal communication in American English.
• Visual and auditory acuity adequate for frequent use of computers.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients, staff and management regarding account status.
• Generate patient account statements and maintain AR files.
• Follow up on collection of receivables.
• Ensure claims are billed timely with accurate coding.
• Coordinate with staff to capture charges through proper documentation.
• Review financial obligation with patient and family.
