Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to perform admitting duties for patients at Mercy - St Rita's Medical Center in Lima, OH. This on-site role requires strong customer service, accurate data collection, and adherence to regulatory requirements to ensure smooth patient intake processes.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of customer service experience, is curious about process improvements (including AI), and is eligible for company-paid CRCR certification within 9

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital.
• Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity / compliance checks.
• Collect insurance information and process physician orders.
• Explain general consent forms and obtain signatures.
• Review eligibility and enter benefit data to support POS and billing processes.
• Screen for medical necessity using ABN software and notify patients of possible non-payment.
