Job summary

Ensemble is seeking an entry level Patient Access Associate Specialist to join our on-site team at Mt. Pleasant Hospital.

You will perform admitting duties, collect insurance information, verify eligibility, obtain necessary signatures, and support POS and billing processes to ensure smooth patient experiences. The role emphasizes customer service, adherence to policies, and regulatory compliance, with opportunities for career advancement, tuition reimbursement, and company-paid certifications.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.

Responsibilities

• Admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital.
• Assign accurate MRNs and perform medical necessity / compliance checks.
• Collect insurance information and process physician orders.
• Explain consent forms and distribute patient education documents.
• Review eligibility and support POS and billing processes to ensure clean claim rate.
• Pre-registration of patient accounts and outbound/inbound calls to collect demographics and insurance info.
