Job summary

Cencora in the United States is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to support patient onboarding, benefit verification, prior authorization, and financial assistance within ambulatory settings. This remote role collaborates with physicians, pharmacies, and health systems to streamline prescription fulfillment and ensure accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate holds a CPhT certification, a 2-year background in related fields, strong Excel/Word skills, and a proactive, detail‑oriented

Qualifications

• Strong communication and written skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Proven analytical and interpersonal capabilities.
• Experience with insurance/claims processing is a plus.
• PTCB certification required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient onboarding, benefit verification, prior authorization, and financial assistance for patients and providers.
• Coordinate with health systems’ ambulatory and specialty pharmacies to ensure timely prescription fulfillment.
• Obtain and document PAP information, submit PAP applications, and track reimbursement outcomes.
• Document activities in EMR and other systems, and communicate updates to the Patient Access Management team.
• Support special projects to optimize reimbursement and continuity of care.
