Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners seeks a Senior Patient Access Specialist for on-site work at Carillion-Rockbridge Hospital in Lexington, VA. You will perform admissions duties, support revenue cycle processes, and provide training and scheduling for the department.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience and an Associate degree or equivalent; on-call duties and POS collections are included, with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments, and denials.
• Comprehensive knowledge of patient insurance process for obtaining authorizations and benefits verification.
• Knowledge of Health Insurance requirements. Knowledge of medical terminology or CPT or procedure codes.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.

Responsibilities

• Admitting duties for all patients receiving services.
• Trainings, scheduling, and senior-level responsibilities.
• Operate telephone switchboard and provide excellent customer service.
• Develop training materials and programs for new hires in revenue cycle.
• Develop staff schedules within the patient access department.
• Provide after-hours on-call support and guidance.
