Qualifications

• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) and/or CRCR, Certified Revenue Cycle Representative.
• 2 year/Associates degree preferred; healthcare administration, business administration, or related field; 2–3 years of patient access experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services; assign MRNs and verify coverage.
• Screen medical necessity with ABN software; collect insurance information and process orders.
• Explain consents, provide patient education materials, and ensure proper signatures.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and support POS collections; audit accounts as needed.
• Pre-register patient accounts; provide accurate demographic and financial information; support clean claim rate.
