Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is hiring a Senior Patient Access Specialist to join our on-site team at Carillion- Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. You will perform admitting duties, verify insurance, collect demographics, and support patient access workflows with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in revenue cycle roles, knowledge of insurance processes and medical terminology, and a willingness to learn and adapt, including exploring AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Understanding of revenue cycle including admission, billing, payments and denials.
• Knowledge of health insurance requirements and verification processes.
• Familiarity with medical terminology or CPT codes.
• Willingness to innovate and explore AI-enabled improvements.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients and assign accurate MRNs.
• Verify insurance and collect patient information.
• Assist with scheduling and training of associates.
• Handle on-call after-hours coverage.
• Collect point-of-service payments when applicable.
