Job summary

Expeditors International is seeking an Operations Manager to orchestrate end-to-end Order Management and logistics for NASA deployments. You will act as the primary escalation point between NASA leads, program stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, delivering mission-critical infrastructure on schedule.

You will lead a team of operations coordinators, review forecasts, and present dashboards to senior leaders while maintaining strict adherence to federal asset tracking standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations research, information systems, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in order management, logistics, or technical fulfillment, preferably supporting tech deployments.
• Proven leadership of operational teams in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Familiarity with infrastructure components (servers, networking, power/cooling) or specialized logistics operations.
• Experience with order management platforms (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret fulfillment data and drive decisions.
• Excellent customer-facing and executive communication; able to manage escalations under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel: 20% and must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end order lifecycle from requisition to fulfillment across NASA centers and partner facilities.
• Serve as primary escalation point for NASA program managers, engineering teams, and vendor networks.
• Direct and mentor the Operations Coordinator team to ensure quality across high-volume order pipelines.
• Audit fulfillment cycles, vendor lead times, and capacity forecasts to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements.
• Present infrastructure demand forecasts, SLA dashboards, and order status reports to senior NASA leadership.
• Lead weekly customer operational syncs and cross-functional alignment sessions.
• Develop, document, and maintain SOPs for order triage, change management, and asset tracking.
• Provide structured training to scale coordinator capabilities and ensure compliance with asset tracking standards.
• Assume operational leadership during critical deployment windows and when senior management is unavailable.
• Foster a high-reliability culture focused on precision, partnership, and risk mitigation.
