Job summary

Summit Electric Supply is seeking an Onsite Support Specialist to lead a customer-site team and own daily operations, safety, and service delivery. You will supervise onsite associates, drive performance, and ensure alignment with Summit policies and standards.

This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, inventory accuracy, SAP usage, and a strong customer-service focus, with responsibilities spanning staffing, training, and operational execution at the client site.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, operations, onsite services, or distribution environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading people, including scheduling, performance management, coaching, and corrective action.
• Strong SAP proficiency and working knowledge of inventory control.
• Ability to manage operations independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service orientation and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership and supervision to all onsite staff assigned to the customer site.
• Train onboarding, coaching, scheduling, work assignment, and daily direction.
• Deliver performance feedback and disciplinary actions with HR support.
• Ensure policy, safety, attendance, and operating procedure compliance.
• Foster accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Act as primary Summit representative at the customer location.
• Own day-to-day onsite operations, service levels, and inventory accuracy.
• Plan, assign, and prioritize work to meet demand and standards.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safe, organized storeroom/warehouse area and lead Lean/5S initiatives.
• Manage SAP usage for orders, goods movements, invoicing, and reporting.
• Oversee receiving, stocking, picking, staging, and issuing materials.
