Job summary

Intertek is seeking an Operations Coordinator for our Caleb Brett team at the Nederland, TX facility. This onsite role focuses on coordinating cargo and analytical assessment operations, acting as the main client liaison and ensuring accurate service delivery.

You will manage job assignments, maintain records for billing, and support contract administration while coordinating between inspectors, labs, and clients. The position requires travel readiness and a diligent, organized work approach.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in an inspection company with a solid understanding of contract basics.
• Strong knowledge of petroleum and chemical inspection procedures, as well as commodity testing and data quality.
• Familiarity with client business needs related to the services provided.
• Willingness to travel, with a valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer job assignments: oversee nominations and assignments for a branch/region.
• Serve as the primary customer liaison, handling nominations, issues, and billing records.
• Record and track job orders, logging requests and assigning identifiers.
• Review client instructions for compliance and resolve conflicts with relevant parties.
• Coordinate client communication, ensuring needs align with Intertek personnel.
• Oversee information flow between all parties to ensure timely service delivery.
• Prepare final reports by gathering data from inspectors and labs.
• Understand Intertek locations and service capabilities for resource allocation.
• Support business development by assisting with marketing plans and customer visits.
• Occasionally perform dispatcher duties (up to 25% of time).
• Conduct annual performance reviews as required.
