Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based newborn hearing screens and educate families on the importance of early intervention. This on-site role includes data collection, documentation, and coordinating follow-up appointments as needed.

On-the-job training and annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology are provided to support accurate screening and timely communication with families and hospital staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and provide parent education on screening relevance and early intervention.
• Verify patient readiness for screening and ensure reliable results.
• Collect demographic data and document results for each baby.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when needed.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by end of shift.
