Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based newborn hearing screens and educate families on the importance of early detection and intervention. The role requires on-site work at one or more hospital locations with on-the-job training and annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform hearing screens for newborns and provide education to parents.
• Ensure data collection and accurate documentation for each baby.
• Upload screen results and related data by end of each shift.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and schedule outpatient follow-ups.
• Provide care and information to families regarding the importance of screening.
