Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing and educate parents on the importance of screening and early intervention.
• Comply with PPE, vaccinations, hospital policies, and report questions to HS Manager.
• Assess screen readiness and only screen when baby is calm and ready.
• Collect data for each baby, perform screen, and document results per protocol.
• Upload results and billing/state reporting by end of shift and reconcile statistics.
• Screen efficiently without compromising quality or education for families.
• Provide information to families and ensure follow-up or referrals when needed.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and referred babies and arrange outpatient follow-up as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.
