Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Springdale, AR is seeking an Inspector for Fluorescent Penetration Inspection (FPI) on a weekend shift (Friday–Sunday, 6:00 am–6:30 pm). You will perform FPI on engine cases, prepare documentation, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations to ensure conformance to work instructions and repair scope.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of relevant experience and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) with a minimum of 1-year of relevant experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Inspect internal case structure using inspection equipment for this method.
• Prepare and complete required inspection documents (manual and electronic), reports and stamping of work instructions to indicate acceptability of parts and completion of work scope as it’s transferred to the next process.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, quality lab, operations and materials or other personnel when needed as it relates to the inspection process.
• Review work instructions, repair operations requirements and blueprints.
• Use inspection tools throughout the process. Tools include Fluorescent Penetration Inspection (FPI) Booth and equipment and inspection fixtures.
• Assist Level III Quality Engineer (QE) in developing specific test techniques.
