Zusammenfassung

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Onsite NDT Inspector to perform Fluorescent Penetration Inspections (FPI) and related non-destructive testing on aerospace engine cases. The role requires handling inspection documentation, collaborating with engineering and quality teams, and ensuring conformance to work instructions and repair scope.

DOT/FAA policies apply. The position operates Monday–Friday with a daytime schedule, and familiarity with MS Office and SAP is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) with a minimum of 1-year of relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office programs.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Non-Destructive testing (NDT) Level 2 certification
• 1 year of related experience/education in various Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods
• Experience in aviation component repair preferred.

Aufgaben

• Fluorescent Penetration Inspection (FPI) is a non-destructive testing method used to examine engine cases and determine repairs.
• Perform NDT methods (FPI, Blue Etch, Chem Etch, Sonic Wall) on engine cases and verify conformance to work instructions.
• Prepare and complete inspection documents, reports, and stamping of work instructions.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations when needed in relation to inspection processes.
• Review work instructions and blueprints; use inspection tools and fixtures.
• Assist Level III Quality Engineer in developing test techniques and comply with DOT/FAA policies.
