Job summary

MSP4, LLC seeks a Systems Administrator (L3) to own day-to-day administration of client infrastructure across multiple sectors. You will manage Windows Server, virtualization clusters, and storage, while ensuring audit-ready documentation and robust backup strategies.

You will operate Veeam backups, administer Microsoft 365 and Azure tenants, and handle L2 escalations with an eye toward reliability and security in a multi-client MSP setting.

Qualifications

• Windows Server operations at hands-on level (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO).
• VMware vSphere or Hyper-V cluster administration and lifecycle.
• SAN/HCI storage provisioning and health checks across array types.
• Veeam Backup & Replication job management and restores.
• Microsoft 365 and Azure tenant administration and policy application.
• SQL Server operations including patching and backups.
• STIG/NIST 800-171 control execution at the server layer.
• L2 escalation ownership and clean handoffs to seniors.
• Documentation and audit-ready change records and runbooks.
• PSA/ITSM ticketing discipline in Jira Service Management, HaloPSA, ConnectWise, Autotask, or ServiceNow.
• Three-way communication with clients, L2 techs, and senior engineers.
• Production multi-client service delivery experience (MSP).
• US-based work location and US-person status requirement.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO).
• Operate VMware vSphere or Hyper‑V clusters; manage VM lifecycle and drift.
• Manage SAN/HCI storage across NetApp, Pure, Nutanix, VMware vSAN.
• Run Veeam backups; verify, restore, and manage repositories.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure tenants; enforce policies.
• Perform SQL Server operations and backups; coordinate with DBAs.
• Take L2 escalations; resolve or escalate to Senior Engineering.
• Apply STIG and NIST 800‑171 controls at server level.
• Collaborate with clients; communicate changes and incidents.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and runbooks.
• Maintain PSA/ITSM ticketing discipline and change records.
