Rush Enterprises Inc. is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to maintain fleets and handle on-site service calls for clients.

The role involves on-site truck diagnostics, parts replacement, and preventative maintenance, with after-hours availability and daily coordination with the Service Manager. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by the FMVS.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, & ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and for the vehicle.
• Report to the Service Manager and execute daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Maintain and inventory tools for diesel truck maintenance.
• Read job orders and plan work procedures based on vehicle operation.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions and determine repairs.
• Diagnose, remove, and replace parts such as injectors, pistons, bearings, and transmissions.
• Document work performed in the company computer system.
• Inspect guards, bolts, and safety devices and make adjustments.
• Lubricate moving parts and verify repairs meet specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance as requested.
• Submit required paperwork and update mobile service program.
• Respond to customer inquiries and foster positive relations.
• Advise customers on repairs to be performed within 3 months.
• Participate in training and apply learning on the job.
