Job summary

Rush Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to support customers by maintaining fleets and handling on-site service calls at client locations.

The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and replacing components with on-board diagnostic tools while ensuring safety and compliance. You will work with a leading network of commercial vehicle dealerships across the US, with opportunities for growth, a strong total rewards package, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by the FMVS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability is a must.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, & ASE certifications are preferred & rewarded

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and ensure proper stocking.
• Report to the Service Manager and perform daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible schedule.
• Read job orders and diagnose vehicle to plan procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Diagnose and replace components such as injectors, pistons, bearings, and brakes.
• Document work in the company computer system.
• Foster positive customer relations and advise on future repairs.
