Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. seeks Experienced Mobile Diesel Technicians to support our clients on their locations, performing on-site maintenance and diagnostic work for heavy trucks. Tenured, certified technicians will handle service calls, maintain fleets, and ensure rapid, quality repairs.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues with advanced equipment, maintaining inventory on service trucks, and providing excellent customer service. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• ASE certifications and OEM brand certifications are preferred and rewarded.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and inspections on trucks at client locations.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and follow assigned duties daily.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible work schedule.
• Maintain and inventory tools required for diesel engine maintenance.
• Diagnose malfunctions using diagnostic equipment and reference technical info.
• Document and submit work performed accurately in the company system.
• Inspect safety devices and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Lubricate moving parts and verify repaired vehicles meet specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance as requested.
• Communicate with customers about repairs and future service needs.
• Participate in training and apply learning on the job.
