Job summary

Rush Enterprises, Inc. is seeking Experienced Mobile Diesel Technicians to support client fleets at their locations. You will perform diagnostic, repair, and preventive maintenance on Class 7-8 trucks, manage on‑truck inventories, and respond to service calls with a focus on on-site efficiency.

The role emphasizes on-site client service, after-hours availability, and ongoing training to maintain high standards. Competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• ASE certifications are preferred & rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections as assigned.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and for keeping the vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned duties daily.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Maintain and inventory the supplied tools for the work required in maintaining diesel engine trucks and equipment
• Read job orders and observe vehicle operation to determine malfunction and plan procedures.
