Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. seeks Experienced Mobile Diesel Technicians to support clients by maintaining fleets and handling on-site service calls.

Technicians will diagnose, repair, and service trucks and equipment at customer locations, with daily duties assigned by a Service Manager. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package including healthcare, a 401(k) with company matching, and an employee stock purchase program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• CDL preferred but not required; FMVSS medical card as required.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins and ASE certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment per company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and document inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and receive daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible work schedule.
• Maintain and inventory tools for diesel engine trucks and equipment.
• Read job orders, observe vehicle operation to plan work procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment to determine malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Diagnose and replace components such as injectors, pistons, bearings, transmissions.
