Job summary

Rush Truck Leasing is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to maintain client fleets and handle service calls at customer locations. The role covers basic maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work with emphasis on safety and customer service.

Responsibilities include inventory management, documenting work in the computer system, and communicating needed repairs to customers. CDL and Medical Card required, with at least two years as a Class 7/8 technician.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician.
• CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Current and valid driver license with insurability per company policy.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment per company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and inspections on trucks.
• Manage service truck inventory and stocking.
• Report to the Service Manager and receive daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible schedule.
• Use diagnostic equipment and manuals to determine repairs.
• Document work in the company computer system.
• Foster positive customer relations and answer inquiries.
• Advise customers on repairs to be done in the next 3 months.
• Participate in training and apply it on the job.
