Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America seeks an MEP Project Engineer to coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on complex commercial projects in Boise, Idaho. You will interface with area managers, design teams, and subcontractors to resolve field coordination items and drive project success on site.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of commercial building experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent.
• Education background in materials and methods of construction.

Responsibilities

• Interface between area managers and multiple subcontractors to assist with resolution of field coordination items.
• Run meetings involving area managers, design team members, multiple subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Interpret design, construction documents, technical manuals, and quantifying materials required for construction from the documents.
• Coordinate all MEP elements within the overall project design.
• Organize and facilitate training of the client’s personnel in the operations and maintenance of MEP elements and systems.
• Review and process submittal information and coordinate between multiple submittals to ensure accuracy and functionality of each component.
• Generate, receive, and distribute requests for information (RFI).
• Receive and distribute change documents issued by other team members.
• Field survey layout of control lines and benchmarks.
• Serve as the technical advisor at onsite field construction office.
• Ability to coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP systems within the overall project design.
