Job summary

Addison Group, a growing outpatient healthcare organization, is seeking a Medical Scheduler to join the centralized scheduling team in North Houston. The role focuses on coordinating physical therapy appointments and workers’ compensation referrals across an assigned region.

This 100% onsite position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, with a pay range of $17–$20 per hour based on experience, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401k.Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM CST, on-site call

Qualifications

• Recent medical scheduling experience required.
• Workers’ compensation referrals experience preferred.
• Experience managing referrals and coordinating appointments.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning scheduling systems.
• Strong organization and attention to detail with sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient physical therapy appointments.
• Manage incoming patient referrals and ensure timely scheduling.
• Communicate with patients, clinics, referral sources, and insurance adjusters.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation referrals and appointments.
• Obtain necessary patient demographics and scheduling information.
• Review appointments and referral documentation for accuracy.
• Work referrals with a sense of urgency to schedule within 48 hours.
• Maintain clear communication with leadership regarding scheduling concerns.
