Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) to join the Workplace Health & Safety team in Pontiac, MI. You will provide on-site first aid, guide associates on injuries, and coordinate referrals to medical providers.

Expect to participate in safety meetings, maintain records, and support workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs. The role requires current BLS, EMT/Paramedic credentials or equivalent, and experience with industrial wellness and ergonomics.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current EMT/Paramedic Certification or National Registry qualification.
• Active Athletic Trainer Certification or equivalent state certification.
• OSHA familiarity and experience with Workers' Compensation.
• Proficient in digital recordkeeping and MS Office.
• Experience with an industrial wellness program.
• Experience coaching on ergonomics and body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and refer to outside providers as needed.
• Minimize risk through awareness, education, and engagement.
• Maintain records of care provided to associates.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs.
• Provide daily activity logs and shift reports.
• Engage with associates and leadership on the floor to coach safe work habits.
• Maintain medical supply inventory and a clean environment.
• Participate in first aid, CPR, and AED training and certification.
• Work flexible shifts including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Assist with saliva drug testing protocols.
• Support emergency response and medical care on site.
