Interpreters must uphold ethics and HIPAA standards, maintain professional appearance, and adapt to new technology while delivering accurate, confidential interpretation for LEP patients and clinicians.

Qualifications

• Fluent in two languages with strong verbal skills.
• Knowledge of interpreter ethics and industry standards.
• HIPAA training completed within the last year.
• Validated language proficiency through medical assessments.
• Completed accredited medical interpreting training course.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective onsite interpreting for patients and clinicians.
• Maintain professional appearance and punctuality for shifts.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies and apps used for scheduling.
• Pass screening before taking in-person commitments.
• Adhere to interpreter ethics and procedural requirements for medical settings.
• Respect LEP clients and cultural considerations during procedures.
• Deliver accurate, confidential interpretation with strong customer service.
