Qualifications

• Fluent in source and target language with strong verbal skills.
• Proof of language proficiency via a medical language assessment (LangStat/Reach Diversity/Language Testing Intl).
• HIPAA Training for Business Associates certificate (within last year).
• Accredited Medical Interpreting Training courses (ALTA/MITS/etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide effective onsite interpreting services for patients.
• Maintain professional appearance, punctuality, and preparedness for shifts.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies and workflows.
• Pass screening before taking in-person commitments.
• Adhere to interpreter ethical standards and privacy requirements.
• Respect LEP clients, culture, dialect, and medical procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and interpretive support.
