UChicago Medicine Northbrook is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our multi-specialty team. This 100% onsite role supports Gynecology, Urogynecology, GI, Transplant, and General Surgery, under RN/physician supervision, in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The position requires graduation from an approved Medical Assistant program, one year of experience, and BLS certification. Healthcare experience with Epic, patient flow management, and strong communication is preferred.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant program.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Phlebotomy training; Phlebotomist license and work experience, if required by practice.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience working in a medical office/facility.
• Certified Medical Assistant.

Responsabilidades

• Check schedules and manage patient flow; assist with exams/procedures; collect specimens and vital signs; document notes and communicate with patients.
• Perform clerical duties: handling records, arranging referrals, scheduling, and insurance verification.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with infection control and instrument processing.
• Support RN/physicians in clinical tasks and ensure patient comfort and safety.
