Job summary

Eaton Group in Sumter, SC is seeking a Mechanical/Panelboard Engineer for an onsite role, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. The role involves detailed engineering for customer orders, 3D modeling, and coordination with multiple internal teams. A Bachelor’s in Engineering and relocation to Sumter are required.

Salary ranges from $71,000 to $105,000 per year with eligibility for a variable incentive program. Candidates with MRP/ERP and Autodesk experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution or in progress with expected graduation by December 2026.
• Must be willing to relocate to Sumter, SC. Relocation assistance available.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration or CPT/OPT/STEM OPT etc.

Responsibilities

• Verify that complete and accurate order entry information has been received for incoming switchboard orders.
• Prepare Manufacturing Information (MI) for switchboards using Bid Manager, AutoCAD, and Plant Order Manager.
• Identify and design special fabricated parts using AutoCAD and 3-D modeling tools (AutoDesk Inventor, etc.).
• Interface with customers, channel partners, Field-Sales, and EatonCare during plant visits, training, and events.
• Provide input to Product Line teams on design and pick table enhancements.
• Support assembly teams in resolving process and information quality issues.
• Support Satellite Plants through design reviews and product implementation.
