Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II to develop new products and create clear technical documentation for other engineers. The role requires collaboration across design, manufacturing, and quality teams to meet performance, cost, and quality targets.

Responsibilities include supporting existing products, approving drawings for simple to medium components, and contributing to complex design decisions. 5–10% travel is expected; onsite in designated Regal Rexnord offices.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3 years’ required experience.
• Ability to perform design calculations.
• Use of computer-aided design tools; SolidWorks and PDM experience desirable.
• Understanding of design requirements, part function and manufacturing principles.
• Ability to facilitate technical discussions with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Support existing products through cost reduction, failure analysis, and derivatives.
• Provide drawing and documentation approval for simple to medium complexity components/processes.
• Provide recommendations with documentation to engineering manager or project team for complex items.
• MRB dispositioning (Material Review Board).
• Use CAD tools to optimize designs efficiently.
• Travel expected 5–10% of time.
• Meet TG2 contract deliverables (launch OTD, cost and quality metrics).
• Deliver designs meeting VOC and VOP inputs.
