Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to manage the electro‑mechanical brake product portfolio, lead design improvements, and support customers with new applications. This onsite role emphasizes collaboration with Design Engineering, R&D, and cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting.

The candidate should have 5+ years in industrial product development, strong GD&T knowledge, and hands-on readiness to troubleshoot and iterate designs using SolidWorks and FEA tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum of 5 years in product or process development for industrial products; internships credited.
• Hands-on approach to building, developing and troubleshooting new products.
• Ability to read/manufacturing drawings, journals, manuals, safety rules, and regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to present and respond to questions.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design Engineering and cross-functional teams within manufacturing and R&D labs.
• Own content for electro-mechanical brake product portfolio.
• Lead VAVE initiatives and product improvement projects.
• Prepare customer reports documenting verification and validation activities.
• Support customers on new applications and custom designs.
• Create or oversee engineering drawings for new or revised designs.
• Apply GD&T principles to designs.
• Develop product knowledge for customer applications.
• Perform tolerance stack-up calculations and apply relevant standards.
• Source, validate, and support components with test lab.
• Prepare BOMs and release ECNs.
• Use CAD and FEA tools for design and analysis.
• Adhere to safety rules and report unsafe conditions.
• Travel up to 10% domestically.
